One afternoon I logged on to the Pragmatic Play One Blackjack, which has a great side bet.
This is called Crazy Sevens, and one can win 2000 times your stake if you get 777 suited, but
a very nice 500 times your stake for any 777. After around half an hour I I hit the jackpot:
I had placed a £1 bet on the main game and a £1 side bet on Crazy Sevens. The Hilo Count,
was -3.65 and the stake equity, the expected value of the main bet, was -2.94%, but I had to
have the £1 main bet to have a side bet. The advantage on the side bet was around 10%, not
unusual after 180 cards had gone, and it can be seen from the purple chip on the right, that I
was paid £501, 500-1, plus my stake return. I could see from the comments that others had
placed the bet too, but there were some that did not. Some comments I saw:
Wow – No Money for that Bet
Fgin Finally Man – someone who clearly has the side bet all the time, not recommended
Q bn por los q la juegon which, sarcastically, means “what a shame for those that play it.
You’re the best Ivin.
So, you can see from the screen that the player just had to enter the four cards dealt using
the console which sits nicely on top of the casino. Very easy using the widget on the right.
The drop down menus on the top left give the casino, and game. There is an option to split,
which was available on 77 but not exercised as HIT was the better choice. Sweep is pressed
when the dealer hand is complete. Postilion is pressed when the cutting card appears and a
new shoe is due. Console should be green, showing a connection to the server. If this is lost,
the program will revert to basic strategy! This button also allows the player to set the
bankroll and the number of turns to miss when there is no advantage. Burn is important. It is
used for cards taken by other people. Many games are single seat with multiple players and
some people will split sevens and receive other cards which should be entered to get the
most accurate plays. Currently the player is told to wait for other players, so there must have
been some splitters, 5 it would seem. All very easy, and there is a manual if you get stuck
